Job Description: Gensler Summer Fellowship
This is a full-time, paid summer internship (June 3 – August 1, 2025) offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. The program focuses on research and thought leadership, contributing to Gensler’s mission of redefining the future of cities. Fellows will work on real projects and research initiatives, collaborating with peers to advance the firm’s global work.
What You Will Do:
The fellowship involves contributing to Gensler’s research initiatives focused on the future of cities. This role requires helping to unlock innovative solutions and address challenges in urban design. The work will be centered around moving forward Gensler’s research, employing new thinking and approaches to create a better future.

Qualifications:
• Educational Requirements: Applicants must meet at least one of these criteria:
• Undergraduate: Entering their final year (Fall 2025) in a relevant degree program.
• Graduate: Enrolled in a graduate degree program in a relevant field.
• Recent Graduate: Graduated (Dec 2024/Spring 2025) from a relevant degree program.
• An accredited degree (NAAB, CIDA, where applicable) is preferred.
• Professional/Educational Background: Experience in the design of the built environment (architecture, interior design, urban design, etc.).
• Skills & Experience:
• Interest in research.
• Strong academic background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong graphic and persuasive writing skills.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and processes.
• Interest in user research, design strategy, and space programming.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Basic skills in 3D and multimedia technologies (a plus).
• Hand sketching ability (a plus).
• Portfolio: Candidates must submit an online portfolio showcasing their design process and innovative solutions (PDF format, 10 MB max).
• Availability: Must be available for the entire duration of the program (June 3 – August 1, 2025).
Compensation: $23-$27.50 per hour, based on location and year in educational program.
