The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lineage Logistics, located at an additional D2C site. Lineage Logistics is expanding its Direct-to-Consumer operations, providing essential supply chain and warehousing services for various goods, including food products. This role is critical for leading a new D2C facility, establishing operational excellence, and fostering a high-performance culture from the ground up, ensuring a strong focus on customer service and client relationships. The General Manager will be instrumental in ensuring seamless service delivery and upholding the company’s commitment to safety and food quality.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports, fostering a strong culture of accountability and engagement to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the operation.
• Operational Performance: Achieve all company performance goals, including internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and established customer service standards.
• Process Improvement: Review and analyze all warehouse activities and associated costs with a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to drive operational excellence and lead sustainable improvements across the business.
• Business Growth: Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager on marketing and sales efforts, including planning new account strategies, prospecting, sales calls, developing and quoting rates, negotiating contracts, and successfully closing sales.
• Resource Management & Compliance: Monitor and control facility budgets, capital expenditures, and space utilization to meet corporate financial targets, while also ensuring facility adherence to Lineage safety, food quality, and employee health standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, coupled with at least 4 years of Operations Management experience within Supply Chain or a related field.
• Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in the development and implementation of strategic annual plans (including budgets, operational performance, and SOPs), alongside strong bottom-line cost and efficiency management. Experience with continuous improvement quality processes such as Six Sigma and/or LEAN is also required.
• Leadership & Technical Skills: Proven experience managing, training, and developing people in operational roles. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and demonstrated experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical results to non-technical audiences, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
