The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Old Navy, located in Lanham, MD. Old Navy is a major fashion retailer on a mission to democratize fashion and make shopping fun again, providing high-quality, must-have fashion essentials for the whole family. This role is crucial as the General Manager links the brand’s vision to daily store operations, driving profitable sales growth and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience within the store. You will lead your team to deliver a profitable business plan and achieve all key metrics.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive profitable sales growth across all aspects of the store, including Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations, and talent development.
• Analyze business results, identify opportunities, and make decisions in collaboration with the leadership team to drive key performance indicators.
• Manage the store budget for daily operations to support the P&L and ensure profitable sales through accurate forecasting and scheduling.
• Build highly productive teams through sourcing, selecting, developing people, and ensuring accountability through coaching and feedback.
• Lead the implementation and execution of all Standard Operating Procedures and brand initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. College degree or equivalent experience preferred, with a focus on retail leadership.
• Experience: 3-5 years of retail experience leading others.
• Skills: Business Acumen, Time Management, Planning and Prioritization, Effective Communication with customers and employees, and demonstrated ability to deliver results.
