This position offers the opportunity to significantly impact adult students’ academic success and understanding, helping them achieve passing scores on the GED Math section.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Explain complex GED Mathematical Reasoning content, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis, to adult learners.
• Guide: Lead students through strategic test-taking, calculator usage, and problem-solving approaches specifically for the GED Math test.
• Adapt: Customize instruction using diagnostic assessments, scaffolded skill progressions, and official GED practice materials to support diverse learning needs.
• Communicate: Identify areas of struggle and provide clear, engaging explanations using multiple teaching methods tailored to individual student styles.
• Deliver: Provide personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand instant tutoring requests via the Live Learning Platform.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Expertise in GED Mathematical Reasoning content, including all foundational math skills required for the exam.
• Experience: Proven ability to teach GED test-taking strategies, apply problem-solving techniques, and interpret various mathematical concepts for adult learners.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of the TI-30XS calculator, strong communication skills, adaptable teaching methods, and familiarity with GED content standards.
