Program Description: G.Start Internship

The G.Start program is a paid internship designed for college students, with the strategic goal of developing talent for future technical and managerial positions within Gerdau. These internships are project-focused, offering mutually beneficial experiences where students contribute meaningfully while gaining invaluable professional development.

Opportunities to Learn & Develop

Interns will gain practical experience and enhance their skills using various industry-standard tools and software, including:

  • Microsoft suite
  • CAPEX
  • AutoCAD
  • SolidWorks
  • And more.

Candidate Qualifications

To be eligible for the G.Start program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Undergraduate student entering their Junior or Senior year.
  • Major: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Materials Science or Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field, from a recognized accredited college or university.
  • Academic Achievement: A strong academic record is required (Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher).
  • Leadership: Well-rounded applicants with demonstrated leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities are highly valued.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
  • Key Competencies: Candidates must demonstrate leadership potential, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
