Job Description: G.Start Internship Program
Gerdau’s G.Start program is a paid internship designed to develop students for future technical and managerial positions within the company. The program is project-focused and emphasizes mutual benefit. Gerdau seeks diverse and inclusive candidates with a strong desire for personal and professional growth within a global company.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Academic Background: Undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year, pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, with a 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Skills and Attributes: High learning agility, adaptability, a consistent drive to outperform in diverse settings, strong leadership potential, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities is a plus.
• Legal Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring sponsorship.
• Opportunities to Learn: Interns will gain experience with software such as the Microsoft suite, CAPEX, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
