Job Title: Fund Administration Intern

Job Overview:

This internship presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to delve into the dynamic private equity and venture capital industries. As a Fund Administration Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in fund administration and partnership accounting, providing crucial financial and administrative support primarily to our Associates and Fund Controllers. This role offers invaluable exposure to the operational intricacies of private funds and the technology solutions that underpin them.

You will contribute to critical financial processes, including assistance with financial statement support schedules, precise client data entry, and meticulous filing. Furthermore, this position provides direct exposure to the systems technology utilized by our clients for reporting purposes. You will play a key role in ongoing data entry and systems conversion projects for both new and existing clients, alongside analyzing various client documents and reports (financial and otherwise) to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial and client information into our recordkeeping systems.
  • Maintain and regularly update various filing systems, ensuring organized and accessible documentation.
  • Provide essential support to internal and external audit and tax teams during their respective processes.
  • Undertake other special projects as assigned by Associates and Fund Controllers, contributing to various operational initiatives.
  • Actively assist teams with systems conversions and other specialized projects, gaining exposure to technological implementations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of basic Accounting and Finance principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with particular strength in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus, though not a strict requirement.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction.
