Job Description: Functional Lead – Advertising, Marketing & Commerce
This role sits within Deloitte’s Customer & Marketing Offering Portfolio, which focuses on supporting the marketing and growth objectives of government agencies and higher education institutions. The Functional Lead will be a key player in driving data-driven strategies and implementing innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the functional design of new Marketing Cloud campaigns: Collaborate with stakeholders to refine SFMC needs and objectives.
• Co-lead CR and funding tracker, and co-own project plan and roadmap: Work closely with the technical lead to ensure efficient project management.
• Oversee all functional aspects of campaigns: This includes functional discovery, design, QA, testing, and cutover.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the functional team: Lead campaign prioritization sessions, manage the campaign backlog, and own new or ad-hoc campaigns.
• Generate reports and communicate project updates: Provide impact reports, bi-weekly reports, monthly M&O reports, and go-live updates to clients.
• Manage team utilization: Ensure the functional team is effectively deployed and utilized.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, creative writing, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in email marketing campaign strategies and reporting.
• 2+ years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to refine SFMC needs and objectives.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to travel 20-50% on average.
Preferred:
• 2+ years of experience in audience discovery and segmentation, measurement, modeling strategy, and data quality.
• Knowledge of paid, owned, and earned media advertising, with analytical expertise in omnichannel, media, organic social, social listening, site, app, email/CRM, voice of the customer, or SEO.
• Experience supporting or leading delivery teams and partnering with internal cross-functional teams.
• Strong client-facing experience.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Knowledge of industry trends in marketing measurement best practices.
