Job Description: Full-Time Paid Internship
This is a paid, full-time internship (40 hours/week) offering a hybrid work experience (remote and in-office), requiring a minimum of three days a week in the Detroit office. The anticipated salary is $20/hour.
Responsibilities: Interns will collaborate with account staff on various projects, including:
• Public Relations & Social Media: Supporting monitoring/reporting, conducting research, developing and writing media materials (news releases, pitch letters), social media strategy, content development (short-form and long-form), influencer activation, paid media and advertising, social media research, and data analytics.
• Skill Development: Hands-on experience in an agency environment, covering specialized writing skills, social media platform familiarity (Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), social listening and analysis, influencer identification and management, project coordination and execution, account management, and program development.
• Client Interaction: Working with notable brands in technology, manufacturing, and automotive sectors, engaging with high-profile accounts within FleishmanHillard’s global network.
Qualifications:
• Completion of junior year of college with a major in journalism, public relations, communications, English, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in expanding skills in social-focused communications, marketing, advertising, and project management.
• Proficiency in social media, comfort in making content recommendations, ability to interpret social performance data, detail-orientation, and effective multitasking skills.
• Commitment to fostering diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
• Submission of a resume, cover letter, and one AP-style writing sample is required for application.
