Job Description – Full Stack Software Engineer Intern
Summary: PayPal is seeking talented Full Stack Software Engineer Interns to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and high-quality products that impact millions of users daily.
Responsibilities:
• Develop scalable software: Code front-end and back-end applications. This could involve creating web applications using React/Node, building back-end services using Java, ExpressJS/NodeJS, SQL, REST API, and/or developing new user-facing experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with design, product, and other business units to ensure projects are aligned and successful.
Basic Requirements:
• Proven software development experience: You’ve built, broken, and rebuilt software applications.
• Solid understanding of web technologies: Knowledge of HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX.
• Familiarity with multiple technologies: Experience with Node.js applications, ReactJS, ExpressJS, web services, SOA, REST APIs, and database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills: You are dynamic, collaborative, and curious.
• Strong desire to learn and grow: You are eager to explore new technologies and expand your knowledge.
Internship Program Information:
• Program Dates: Summer 2025
• Eligibility: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Requirements: Returning to school in Fall 2025, residing in the U.S. during the internship, and eligible to work in the U.S. for the summer.
• Location: Varies within U.S. PayPal office locations.
