Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2025)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-volume, scalable software applications, encompassing both front-end and back-end development. This involves creating web applications (React/Node), back-end services (Java, ExpressJS/NodeJS, SQL, REST API), and new user-facing experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, other business units).

Basic Requirements:

• Proven experience building, modifying, and improving software applications, demonstrating both creativity and practical application skills.
• Working knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX).
• Familiarity with at least some of the following: Node.js applications, ReactJS, ExpressJS, Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and exploring new technologies.

Internship Program Information and Requirements:

Summer 2025 only: This internship is for the Summer 2025 term; Spring and Fall internships are not offered.
Academic Status: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university. Must return to school in Fall 2025.
Location: Must reside in the U.S. during the summer internship and be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program. Locations vary across U.S. PayPal offices.
Work Model: PayPal offers a balanced hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote/office).
