Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2025)
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop high-volume, scalable software applications, encompassing both front-end and back-end development. This involves creating web applications (React/Node), back-end services (Java, ExpressJS/NodeJS, SQL, REST API), and new user-facing experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, other business units).
Basic Requirements:
• Proven experience building, modifying, and improving software applications, demonstrating both creativity and practical application skills.
• Working knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX).
• Familiarity with at least some of the following: Node.js applications, ReactJS, ExpressJS, Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and exploring new technologies.
Internship Program Information and Requirements:
• Summer 2025 only: This internship is for the Summer 2025 term; Spring and Fall internships are not offered.
• Academic Status: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university. Must return to school in Fall 2025.
• Location: Must reside in the U.S. during the summer internship and be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program. Locations vary across U.S. PayPal offices.
• Work Model: PayPal offers a balanced hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote/office).
