Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer Intern
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop high-volume, scalable software (front-end and back-end). This involves creating web applications using technologies like React/Node, building back-end services with Java, ExpressJS/NodeJS, SQL, REST APIs, and developing new user-facing experiences.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (design, product, and other business units).
Basic Requirements:
• Proven experience building, troubleshooting, and rebuilding software applications. A strong understanding of creating real-world products is essential.
• Working knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX).
• Familiarity with at least some of the following: Node.js applications, ReactJS, ExpressJS, Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive desire for continuous learning and exploration of new technologies.
Internship Program Information and Requirements:
• Summer 2025 internship only (no Spring or Fall options).
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college/university.
• Must return to school in Fall 2025.
• Must reside in the U.S. during the summer internship.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for the summer.
• Location: Varies across U.S. PayPal office locations. PayPal operates a hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote/flexible).
