Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer Intern

Mission:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern at PayPal, you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge payment solutions used by millions worldwide. You’ll be part of a talented team building new experiences, enhancing existing products, and creating scalable systems for the world’s largest e-commerce and payments platforms.

Responsibilities:

Software Development: Create high-volume, scalable software applications focused on both front-end and back-end development. This may include:
• Building web applications using React/Node.
• Developing back-end services using Java, ExpressJS/NodeJS, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Creating new user-facing experiences.
Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other business units.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience building, troubleshooting, and rebuilding software applications.
• Working knowledge of web technologies: HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX.
• Familiarity with any or multiple of the following: Node.js applications, ReactJS, ExpressJS, SQL, NoSQL databases, Web Services, SOA, REST APIs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies.

Internship Program Information:

Timing: Summer 2025 internship program only (Spring and Fall internships not available).
Eligibility: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Location: Varies within U.S. PayPal Office Locations.
Hybrid Work Model: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
