Full-Time Front Office Member

Lumina Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Front Office member to join our team at our office in Stockton, CA. This vital role serves as the central point of contact, managing communication and coordination between patients, family members, care providers, and other healthcare institutions. Qualified candidates will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations through diligent scheduling, accurate insurance verification, and clear discussions regarding patient treatment plans and financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analytical and Data Entry: Perform accurate data entry and analytical tasks related to patient information and administrative processes.
  • Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, answering calls, emails, and inquiries, including providing initial insurance estimates.
  • Confidentiality and Account Management: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while managing patient accounts and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule and manage patient visits, addressing pre-visit questions related to appointments and billing.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements in all administrative and patient interactions.
  • Treatment Plan Discussion Support: Assist in discussing patient treatment plans, clarifying administrative aspects and scheduling follow-up care.
  • Financial Counseling: Clearly communicate the cost of services, verify insurance coverage, and discuss various payment options with patients.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the care team and colleagues to ensure every patient receives exceptional service and a seamless experience.
  • Prior Authorizations: Secure necessary prior authorizations for medical procedures and services in a timely manner.
  • Document Management: Accurately scan and upload patient documents into their electronic health records.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and best practices by assisting the care team in setting and achieving relevant goals.
  • Resource Navigation: Offer patients and families valuable community resources and facilitate referrals for continuing care.
  • Paperwork Management: Efficiently manage, handle, and review all relevant patient and administrative paperwork.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical staff, enhancing their operational efficiency.
  • Insurance Verification: Perform thorough insurance verification, including checking frequencies and coordination of benefits with various insurance entities.

Skills, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • Communication & Customer Service: Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with online training platforms, electronic patient record systems, and email correspondence.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze information, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.
