Job Description: FP&A Internship (Spring/Summer 2025)
This is a paid, onsite internship in Louisville, KY, requiring a commitment ideally spanning two semesters. The intern will report to the FP&A department manager and contribute to core processes within the Financial Planning & Analysis department, specifically focusing on Treasury Management and Financial Forecasting & Reporting.
Responsibilities:
The internship involves active participation in various aspects of FP&A, including:
• Supporting the Treasury Team:
• Preparing and managing A/R sales documentation and file management.
• Retrieving and compiling daily bank and treasury inputs for analysis (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable projections).
• Downloading and monitoring aluminum metal prices from LME and Platts.
• Daily monitoring and updating of LME, Midwest Premium, and Alloy metal prices.
• Assisting with the monthly cash forecast process.
• Assisting with data gathering and presentation updates for quarterly Treasury Management Planning meetings.
• Completing ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Supporting the Monthly Financial Reporting & Analysis Team:
• Assisting with monthly internal and external financial reporting.
• Assisting with the monthly financial forecast.
• Preparing monthly flashes for communication on the company SharePoint site.
• Loading statistics into the ERP system.
• Assisting with metal and gas hedging activities.
• Assisting with annual budget process activities.
Requirements:
• Junior or Senior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly.
• Safety-conscious and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
• Accountability and dependability in completing work on time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software.
