Founder’s Office Intern (Chief of Staff Track) | Pluton Resource Intelligence

The Tone:
This is an internship at Pluton Resource Intelligence, located remotely. Pluton is a deep-tech startup dedicated to rebuilding how the world discovers its most valuable resources. The company is developing a closed-loop system of autonomous aerial and ground robotics, probabilistic inference, and simulation to transform mineral exploration. This chief-of-staff-style internship offers direct exposure to the CEO and founding team, providing an opportunity to witness the building of an ambitious company from the ground up, including fundraising, commercial deals, research, and strategy. The role is designed for someone who can tackle hard, ambiguous problems and deliver sharp, actionable solutions, engaging directly with live work.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research & Synthesis: Conduct deep research on markets, technology, competitors, or counterparts, and distill findings into decision-grade insights.
• Fundraising & Business Development: Assist with preparing materials, due diligence, and follow-through for investors and commercial partners.
• Writing & Communications: Draft memos, briefs, and external communications that are clear and correct.
• Operations & Internal Systems: Contribute to building and maintaining internal systems that ensure company coherence and efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, at least one year of college completed. Must be a US Citizen.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to think clearly and write clearly, producing legible insights from complex problems. High agency, moving tasks forward without constant direction, with a low ego, willing to do what is needed.
• Skills: Clear thinking, clear writing, problem-solving, comfortable with ambiguity, comfortable with intensity, generalist aptitude.
• Bonus: Coursework or real interest in business, finance, or research. Curiosity and judgment are valued more than specific academic background.
