What You’ll Actually Do
• Valuation Modeling: Prepare business valuation models and reports.
• Market Research: Research and analyze industry, transactional, and economic information.
• Engagement Participation: Participate in management interviews, investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting engagements.
• Financial Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of financial and legal documents, analyze potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstruct financial statements.
• Technical Research: Apply technical research skills to gather, organize, summarize, and interpret data to arrive at a conclusion.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university.
• Experience: Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication, close attention to detail, effective time management, problem-solving attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: A desire or the ability to sit for the CPA exam, or a desire to obtain the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials.
