The Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office (PCMEO) is offering a Forensic Technician Internship.
Job Description: The forensic technician intern will gain hands-on experience while assisting PCMEO forensic pathologists, forensic technicians, and medicolegal death investigators with the day-to-day operations of the office.
Responsibilities Include:
• Exam photography
• Evidence collection
• Post-mortem examination processing
• Radiograph imaging
Important Considerations:
• The internship is unpaid.
• Requires a minimum of twelve (12) hours weekly (Monday-Friday) for one semester.
• Requires working with deceased humans, often in unpleasant conditions.
• The PCMEO has the statutory obligation to investigate deaths that occur violently; suddenly when in apparent good health; unnaturally; unusually; in association with one’s occupation or employment; or under suspicious circumstances that occur within the geographical boundaries of Pinal County.
