Job Description: Food Service Associate (Cake Decorator)
This Food Service Associate position focuses on cake decorating responsibilities, contributing to a positive customer experience and the overall success of the Food City store.
Essential Job Functions:
• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service, supporting the company’s mission.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a friendly and fun working environment through flexibility and teamwork.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service by greeting and speaking to customers.
• Prepare and produce high-quality food and products, exceeding customer and company expectations.
• Decorate specialty cakes, including the use of a photo cake computer.
• Decorate cupcakes and cookies.
• Maintain the appearance and stock levels of cookie and cake cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes.
• Maintain the presentation of table cakes.
• Assist in proper rotation and dating of Food Service products.
• Responsible for maintaining product inventory and ordering.
• Keep the display case, workstation, and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Ensure that all special cake orders are ready for customer pickup at or before the scheduled time.
• Expect cross-training in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
