Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory (FSQR) Associate Program
This program is designed to develop and train recent college graduates to become future leaders in the FSQR job family at Cargill. The program offers extensive on-the-job training that exposes you to the workflows of business operations and develops your knowledge of processing production, including good manufacturing practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety, quality, process control, and regulatory compliance.
Your Role as an FSQR Associate
As an FSQR Associate, you will be actively involved in various tasks, including:
• Daily assessment: Monitoring process quality parameters and food safety and quality systems, including raw materials, calibration, maintenance, procedures, food safety, training, auditing, and analytical testing.
• Data analysis: Analyzing data, identifying trends, troubleshooting issues, taking corrective actions, and communicating findings effectively.
• Quality problem resolution: Identifying and resolving product quality problems, working with other teams to ensure quality, food safety, and microbiological requirements are met.
• Project management: Overseeing and managing various food safety and quality programs at the plant, including FSQR assessments, sanitation assessments, and corrective action teams.
• Communication: Communicating FSQR and Micro results, including timely reporting of quality assurance activities.
• Documentation: Maintaining manufacturing, safety, FSQR, Pre-requisite Programs (PRPs), and HACCP policies for product production, as well as organizing and maintaining accurate information to ensure food safety.
• Training and support: Providing back-up assistance for FSQR professionals and supervisors, assisting with training new employees, and contributing to plant training programs.
• Cross-training: Gaining knowledge and skills in both FSQR and Micro functions to assist in training and ensure employees meet requirements.
• Miscellaneous tasks: Participating in process improvement projects, developing and modifying QA procedures and documents, recruiting and interviewing new employees, and assisting other locations with process start-ups and projects.
Working Environment
This role is located in an industrial/processing plant environment. The work is team-based, fast-paced, and hands-on, requiring moderate physical exertion. The work may also involve exposure to heat, cold, or wet environments. Depending on the location, this role may require working different shifts, including second and third shifts.

Compensation
The expected salary for this position is $65,000, with adjustments based on the geographic location of the position.
Internship Location
This position is currently located in Fort Morgan, CO.

Required Currently pursuings:
• Right to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical science program (i.e. Animal Science, Meat Science, Food Science, Microbiology, or related technical science degree)
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate to Fort Morgan, CO
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team
Preferred Currently pursuings:
• Overall 3.0 GPA
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Basic food safety knowledge
• Experience with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs), labeling, food additives, sanitation, and food microbiology
• Experience applying statistical and quality management tools
• Strong leadership and technical skills
• Demonstrated ability of collaboration, communication, motivation, interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, and successful work completion
• Moderate computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation)
• Experience applying Continuous Improvement concepts
