Job Description: Food & Beverage Leader in Development (Internship)
This is a hands-on training opportunity to learn various aspects of the hotel business, specifically within the Food and Beverage Department, at The Omni Homestead Resort.
Key Aspects:
• Role: “Utility player” rotating through various entry-level service positions within the Food and Beverage Department and potentially the sales area (and other departments as needed).
• Focus: Gaining practical experience in diverse roles based on business demands.
• Opportunity: College Seniors in the Omni Care Internship program who perform well may be eligible for the Leader in Development program upon internship completion.
• Support: Onsite housing and meal plans are available.
• Training: Attend Omni Care Internship training and enrichment seminars (“live” sessions for summer internships only).
Responsibilities:
• Flexibility in working various entry-level service positions within the property.
• Position may rotate within the food and beverage and sales area.
• Additional departments/roles may be added based on business needs.
• Attend to and anticipate guest’s needs.
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in scheduling.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.
Qualifications:
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and attention to detail are required.
• Technical Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed.
• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service position is preferred.
• Learning and Adaptability: Willingness to learn, take on different projects, and adapt to changing environments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and lean for extended periods.
• Availability: Ability to work 50 hours per week.
