About the Job: Fluid Component Intern
This internship position is for a Fluid Component Intern based at Rocket Lab’s facility in Long Beach, California. The intern will be an integral part of the Neutron team, specifically supporting the Fluid Components team, which is responsible for designing, sourcing, and manufacturing all fluid components for both the Neutron rocket and the Archimedes engine.
The core responsibilities of the intern will involve:
• Procuring hardware for the Neutron team.
• Driving the first build and test of components.
• Performing qualification tests to ensure components meet all functional requirements for flight.
As an intern, you will:
• Work closely with a dedicated mentor and other employees within the department.
• Apply existing knowledge and develop new technical and professional skills.
• Collaborate with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real-world challenges.
• Participate in frequent one-on-one sessions with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success, learning, and provide progress updates.
• Have opportunities to attend tech talks and network with fellow interns and employees through various social and professional events.
