## Job Description:
Job Title: Flight Test Engineer
Location: Edwards AFB, CA

Responsibilities:
This position is for a Flight Test Engineer who will be supporting F-22 aircraft as a Test Conductor and Test Director within the F-22 CTF (Combat Test Force) at Edwards AFB. The successful candidate will be part of a flight test team working with military, contractor, and civil service personnel.
Specific duties include:
• Planning and Execution:
• Develop and publish test plans and flight test cards.
• Determine and communicate aircraft test requirements and configuration to engineering, maintenance, instrumentation, and flight operations personnel to ensure aircraft readiness.
• Comply with published test safety plans and standard operating procedures.
• Mission Conduct:
• Conduct test missions, performing test mission briefings and debriefings.
• Evaluate results from flight activities and incorporate “lessons learned” into future test activities.
Working Conditions:
• Swing shift, overtime, travel, and weekend work may be required to support mission and staffing needs.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a flight test environment as a Flight Test Engineer.
• Experience planning and executing flight test programs.
• Current Secret security clearance (investigation date within 5 years).
• Desired:
• Familiarity with AFTC (Air Force Test Center) Processes and Operations.
• Prior Test Conductor/Test Director qualification.
• Private Pilot Certificate.
• The ability to obtain and hold Special Access Programs (SAP).
Security Clearance:
• This position requires a government security clearance, and the candidate must be a US Citizen for consideration.
• Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Salary:
• The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington DC is $100,400 – $192,500.
• The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 – $217,500.
• Note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
