About the Job: Flight Software Test Intern
As a Flight Software Test Intern, you will be an integral part of our flight software team, focusing on the analysis, design, and testing of software products for Millennium Space Systems. This position involves designing and writing test cases, overseeing test strategies, and performing testing on both hardware and simulations for our flight software. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a desire to discover vulnerabilities in our software!
Internship Experience (10-12 Weeks)
Over the course of this internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop test plans and write comprehensive test cases.
- Write and execute test scripts to validate software functionality.
- Debug software and tests, both on real hardware and in an emulated environment.
- Analyze test results to verify functionality and recommend corrective actions for any anomalies found.
- Manage the GitLab CI to automate test execution.
Work Environment and Requirements
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
- U.S. Export Control Compliance: This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Some positions may require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, which mandates U.S. Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer (with a focus on conduction and radiation).
- Pursuing a degree in an Engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Energy, Materials, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and MS Office Products (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above).
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations.
- Strong technical experiences, demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships.
- Exceptional communication skills and a genuine interest and enthusiasm related to engineering, aerospace, and a career with Boeing.
- Junior or Senior class standing.

- Compensation: Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The summary pay range is $21.15 /hr – $30.77 / hr.
