FLDP Finance Intern | Thermo Fisher Scientific
The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer internship at Thermo Fisher Scientific, located in various potential in-office locations requiring geographic flexibility. Thermo Fisher Scientific is a global company that provides scientific services and solutions across multiple businesses and functions. This internship serves as a strategic pipeline, designed to identify and develop future leadership talent for the full-time Finance Leadership Development Program.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $18.50–$28.75 hourly
• Mission: To complete strategically important projects within the finance function, contributing to business needs while demonstrating the potential for future leadership roles within the company’s finance programs.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Complete a 10-week finance internship project, beginning on either May 24, 2027, or June 14, 2027.
• Execute projects that hold significant strategic and/or operating importance to the specific business unit to which you are assigned.
• Work within diverse functional areas such as Corporate Finance, Commercial Finance, Finance Data & Analytics, General Accounting, or Operations Finance.
• Perform all assigned work onsite and in-office, supporting collaboration across businesses, functions, and locations.
• Demonstrate exceptional performance, leadership potential, and alignment with company values for consideration in the full-time Finance Leadership Development Program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student completing a Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related area between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience: 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
• Skills: Proven ability to influence others, lead initiatives, drive results, navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems. Demonstrated learning agility, intellectual curiosity, innovative mindset, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
• Bonus: Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, Greek life, community service, volunteer organizations, campus programs, or military service. Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance when facing challenges. Geographic mobility and flexibility are required for internship and future placements. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status (F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas are not accepted).
