Job Description:

The Fiscal Analyst I – Intern is an entry-level position designed to apply classroom learning to the professional work environment. This position will perform general finance duties under the close general supervision of the Controller.

Duty: General Finance duties

Tasks Include:

• Assist with processing purchase orders
• Assist with processing payroll
• Assist with accounts payable data entry
• Scanning & filing financial documents
• Researching accounts payable issues
• Assisting with Job Accounts
• Assisting with travel requests
• Shadowing leadership
• Assisting with ad hoc projects & reconciliations
• Assisting with GL review
• Assist with documentation of policies & procedures
• Assist with A/R & Student Account invoicing and collections
• Participate in a variety of college-related meetings, trainings, committees and activities
• Provide excellent customer service
• Work effectively and positively with individuals of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and educationally diverse populations
• Strong positive interpersonal skills including collaborative work and team-orientation
• Work effectively across organizational pillars and create and nurture a safe, bias-free environment with respect for all individuals and for their differences
• Enrollment in accounting, finance, or business administration accredited degree program
• Ability to contribute to the college’s commitment to diversity by fostering a climate of multicultural understanding and appreciation
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email
