What You’ll Actually Do
• Procurement: Complete all purchase orders and requisitions, and manage inventory of supplies, including library books, for the assigned school.
• Account Management: Manage various campus accounts, such as Title I, Fine Arts, and Activity Funds, by maintaining a register of funds and balancing bank statements.
• Fund Handling: Collect and receipt all monies from activity funds, making bank deposits when funds exceed $100.00.
• Vendor Payments: Write checks to compensate vendors for services rendered to the school.
• Reporting: Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports for the assigned school’s operations.
• Administrative Support: Perform various clerical duties, including answering phones, greeting and screening visitors, and making copies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring a high school diploma or GED plus one of the following: an Associate’s degree or higher, at least two years (48 credit hours) of higher education study, passing the OGET, or passing the ETS Parapro Assessment (score of 455+) or WorkKeys Assessment (score of 4+ on all three parts).
• Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping terminology and methods, with an ability to make mathematical computations and post accounts with speed and accuracy.
• Skills: Ability to maintain complex financial records and prepare statements; capability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and prioritize workload; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using good judgment, tact, and courtesy.
• Bonus: Bilingual interpretation and translation skills preferred, along with additional coursework in bookkeeping and accounting.
