Job Description:
This is a Financial Justice Internship opportunity at Voice Up, a mission-driven organization. Interns will contribute to pioneering solutions that address both financial trauma and social isolation by connecting people to their purpose through safe communities.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
• Safe Community Building: Help facilitate purpose discovery through serving others, addressing loneliness and financial trauma.
• Financial Trauma & Social Research: Assist in research mapping the intersection of financial trauma and social isolation, contributing to the development of purpose-driven community solutions.
• Purpose-Driven Credit Union: Contribute to the development of a unique financial institution where members discover their purpose while building economic justice.
• Policy & Systems Change: Support efforts to address wealth inequality and social isolation by developing integrated solutions that reconnect people to meaning and economic justice.
• Learning & Growth:
• Master Voice Up’s mission of connecting people to purpose through evidence-based community building.
• Address two health conditions with equivalent mortality impacts through purpose-centered interventions.
• Learn how purpose discovery creates both economic empowerment and social connection.
• Develop skills in community organizing, research, and policy advocacy centered on purpose-driven solutions.
• Contribute to WHO-recognized global health priorities through innovative purpose-connection models.
