Job Description: Financial Associate Intern (Summer 2025)

This is a hybrid position located in Columbus, OH, with a relocation stipend offered to eligible candidates. The internship is within the Proposal Pricing Department, reporting directly to the CFO. It offers immersion in Battelle’s culture and exposure to various company aspects. The role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and the application of learned knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with researchers, scientists, and program managers to develop compliant cost estimates for federally funded proposals.
• Ensuring cost estimates align with Battelle’s Estimating System policies.
• Working with finance, contracts, procurement, and business development teams.
• Completing financial tasks supporting Battelle’s not-for-profit, government contract research structure.
• Assisting project and finance management in identifying and mitigating business risks.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Management (junior standing or higher).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Related work experience (paid or unpaid) is preferred.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.
