Job Description: Financial Analyst Intern (Summer 2025)
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern for the summer of 2025. This is a part-time internship, with the schedule determined by the leader. The intern will perform financial analysis tasks within a specific product area, focusing on aspects such as headcount analysis, risk assessment, opportunity identification, and variance analysis (overruns/underruns). Responsibilities include:
• Analyzing data from various reports and sources.
• Pulling data exports and importing into relevant systems.
• Working within the Earned Value Management (EVM) cost system (COBRA).
• Adhering to EVM principles and processes as outlined in Program Performance Management (PPM) documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field at an accredited college/university.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrable extracurricular or leadership involvement.
• Proven ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US Citizenship is required (due to security clearance requirements).
Desired Skills:
• Leadership experience.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
• Prior finance internship experience.
• Community involvement.
• Experience with Oracle or data warehouses.
• Ability to solve problems using complex data sources.
• Analytical curiosity.
• Ability to work independently.
Security Clearance:
• This position requires a government security clearance; US citizenship is mandatory. The clearance level required is Secret.
