This Financial Analyst position is crucial for providing financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team, directly influencing company strategy and decision-making. The role supports various departments by explaining financial variances and optimizing financial processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Conduct recurring and ad hoc analysis of financial and operational data across various frequencies.
• Financial Planning: Assist in the development of department-level budgets and forecasts, and coordinate annual budget planning.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, identify root causes for variances, and communicate results to leadership.
• Process Enhancement: Continually improve analytical and reporting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strategic Support: Perform ROI analytics on capital projects and maintain comprehensive cash flow models to support capital planning and strategic decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or other related fields in Business.
• Experience: Exposure to financial, labor, and other operational modeling.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to pay attention to details while understanding macro-level financial impacts, advanced MS Excel expertise, and a working understanding of GAAP.
• Bonus: Experience in a retail, restaurant, or convenience store environment; three years of experience in a financial or operations analyst role; and experience using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and/or Vena.
