What You’ll Actually Do
• Workflow Management: Maintain oversight of the group’s shared mailbox, review credit submissions for completeness, enter data into financial systems, and allocate work across the department.
• Financial Analysis: Develop accurate and concise credit analyses for both private and public entities, evaluating basic to moderately complex transactions and assessing financial statements to determine credit ratings, strengths, weaknesses, and collateral options.
• Risk Assessment: Interpret diverse financial statements prepared under GAAP or IFRS, understand various organizational structures and their impact on creditworthiness, and utilize informational resources to identify industry trends and assess company performance relative to peers.
• Reporting & Communication: Produce and communicate basic to moderately complex management reports, analyzing financial results and business drivers, and presenting trends and implications to stakeholders and management with appropriate detail.
• Process Improvement: Proactively lead efforts to continuously improve departmental processes, ensuring that work is performed as efficiently and effectively as possible within credit review and analysis workflows.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of finance experience, positioning it for early-career professionals.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional finance experience. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously within a deadline-focused environment.
• Skills: Financial statement interpretation, credit risk assessment, management report generation, strong written and verbal communication, advanced Excel proficiency, and Microsoft Word proficiency.
