Financial Analyst – Corporate Finance | GM Financial
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at GM Financial, located in Fort Worth, TX (hybrid). GM Financial is the wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors, serving as a global provider of auto finance solutions across North America, South America, and Asia Pacific. This role is crucial for supporting the execution of secured funding transactions across warehouse and securitization platforms, evaluating financing structures, and analyzing market conditions. What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactions: Support and help drive the execution of financing transactions.
• Analysis: Analyze competitor financing strategies, financial statements, and collateral/portfolio performance.
• Reporting: Prepare and contribute to company presentations and external-facing materials, such as lender and investor updates.
• Modeling: Build, maintain, and enhance cash flow models to support financial analysis.
• Data Management: Support Corporate Finance data integrity and management, including preparing ad hoc reporting for management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a Business-related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of advanced knowledge and ability in performing financial analysis functions. Prior experience in corporate finance, treasury, or banking, particularly with capital markets, is preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of capital markets and/or structured finance concepts, proficiency in Excel including advanced modeling, strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interpret legal documents related to complex financial transactions.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SQL or database tools, experience with Power BI (PBI) or other data visualization tools, ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work, and experience integrating AI into workflows.
