What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Actuarial Functions: Blend technical analysis with business partnership to support actuarial studies, reporting, and product performance analysis for life and disability insurance products.
• Analyze Data: Interpret financial, actuarial, and operational data to evaluate trends, performance, and profitability for existing products.
• Conduct Studies: Lead experience studies and in-force product analysis, including supporting new product implementations and ongoing business operations.
• Develop Tools: Create reports, models, and derive insights utilizing analytical tools such as Excel, SAS, and R.
• Collaborate and Respond: Partner closely with actuarial, product, and business teams to support strategic initiatives and resolve inquiries related to in-force policies and product performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience, indicating an entry-level career stage.
• Experience: Must have experience or familiarity with Excel, including working with formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and analytical proficiency, complemented by good oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Preferred skills include an aptitude in programming languages such as SAS and R, and prior experience in the Life Insurance industry.
