The Tone:
This is a full-time, direct hire role at a growing manufacturing organization, located in Meridian, ID. The company operates within the manufacturing industry and is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This hybrid position blends general ledger accounting with financial planning & analysis, playing a critical role in supporting month-end close processes, management reporting, and continuous process improvement.

What You’ll Actually Do
Oversee Close: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for accurate financial reporting.
Maintain Records: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, ensuring general ledger integrity.
Generate Reports: Assist with preparation of financial statements, internal reporting packages, and perform variance analysis with commentary on financial results.
Facilitate Planning: Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with leadership to aid strategic decision-making.
Enhance Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls, including supporting ERP/process improvement initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a hybrid GL/FP&A role, with proven experience in reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and comfort working with large data sets, a strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bonus: Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis; manufacturing or cost accounting exposure.
