The Tone:
This is a full-time role for a Financial Analyst at Venteon’s client, a well-established and leading company located in the Metro-Detroit area. The client is recognized as one of Metro-Detroit’s finest organizations within its industry. This position is a vital component of the corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, where the analyst will contribute significantly to the preparation of consolidated financial statements, develop comprehensive forecasts, and perform various monthly and annual financial analyses. This role is essential for providing critical financial insights that support strategic decision-making and operational planning across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecasting & Planning: Prepare detailed weekly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and relevance for ongoing business operations. This responsibility involves gathering data, applying financial models, and presenting projections to help guide short-term decision-making. Additionally, execute comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial planning and analysis functions, which are critical for strategic resource allocation and performance management. This includes contributing to the overall financial roadmap and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Financial Reporting: Assist diligently with the monthly reporting of financial results, ensuring timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders and leadership. This involves consolidating financial data, verifying figures, and preparing reports that clearly summarize the company’s performance.
• Statement Analysis: Analyze data meticulously related to quarterly and annual financial statements. This includes reviewing trends, identifying variances, and providing in-depth insights into the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. The analysis supports informed conclusions regarding past performance and future outlook.
• Process Enhancement: Take the lead in implementing process improvements within the FP&A department. This involves identifying areas for increased efficiency, developing new methodologies or tools, and driving their adoption to enhance the accuracy, speed, and quality of financial planning and analysis activities. This responsibility aims to continuously refine financial operations.
• Statement Preparation: Contribute to the overall preparation and analysis of financial statements. This includes working with various financial data points to construct accurate statements, performing reconciliations, and conducting a thorough review to ensure compliance and precision. This holistic approach ensures comprehensive financial oversight.

• Background: An early career professional with a foundation in corporate finance or accounting.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience within a corporate finance or accounting department.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, excellent written communication skills for clear financial reporting, and effective interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork.
