What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Maintain and meticulously update all current pricing and quote information within the company’s central system, ensuring high levels of accuracy and accessibility for various departmental needs.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and rigorously analyze critical financial reports, encompassing gross margin, inventory levels, and accounts receivable, consistently comparing quoted pricing and margins against actual operational results to identify discrepancies.
• Cross-functional Resolution: Actively partner with key departments such as Program Management, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain to thoroughly investigate, understand, and effectively resolve complex pricing and cost variances.
• Cost Accounting: Conduct in-depth analysis of product costs, examine supplier price variances, evaluate manufacturing overhead allocations, and review work-order reporting to support informed financial and operational insights.
• Core Accounting Operations: Execute essential general ledger analysis, perform comprehensive account reconciliations, prepare and post accurate journal entries, and contribute to efficient monthly close activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field, suitable for an early-career professional.
• Experience: Practical experience in financial reporting and utilizing Excel features such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis and accounting principles, a basic understanding of the general ledger, strong analytical abilities for trend identification, and excellent organizational, prioritization, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to manipulate data and construct reports using Excel, coupled with a curious and collaborative approach to problem-solving and a comfort in asking clarifying questions.
