Financial Analyst II | General Dynamics

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct economic research and studies related to rates of return, depreciation, and investments.
• Analyze: Analyze profit-and-loss income statements, providing reports and recommendations to management.
• Forecast: Generate forecasts and analyze trends across sales, finance, and other business areas.
• Model: Create financial models for “what if” scenarios to support future business planning decisions, such as new product development.
• Evaluate: Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to recommend actions or modifications to financial procedures, plans, and controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires an Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, with a general understanding of finance or accounting principles.
• Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication, analytical thinking, statistical knowledge, detail orientation, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, along with knowledge of account reconciliation, business valuation, financial analysis, financial forecasting, trend analysis, and specialized financial software.
