Financial Analyst | Lockheed Martin
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lockheed Martin, located in a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Lockheed Martin Space is at the forefront of transforming the future by innovating, investing, and integrating capabilities within the critical domain of space. This position plays a significant part in supporting the finance team for the P22X Program, influencing business and finance operations strategy and contributing directly to the team’s internal strategy and program performance within the Space Security & Intelligence Ground portfolio.

• Mission: Perform analysis and support the Finance Team on the P22X program to influence business and finance operations strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze financial data to support the P22X Program within the Space Security & Intelligence Ground portfolio.
• Collaborate with the team to shape business and finance operations strategies.
• Contribute to the internal strategy and overall performance of the finance team.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial status for the program.
• Conduct detailed analysis of program data to inform decisions and ensure fiscal health.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on finance or a related field, providing foundational knowledge for financial analysis and strategic contribution.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of related finance experience, including specific expertise in program finance such as monthly and annual financial status preparation and analysis. Demonstrated experience working with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) and EVM (Earned Value Management) is also required.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement. The role demands a proactive problem solver with critical thinking skills and the ability to balance competing priorities effectively in a high-pressure environment. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is also essential.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include being a proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with financial software and tools such as SAP, Cobra, WEBI, and Mission Control is highly valued. Proficiency with pivot tables and significant Excel experience is desired for in-depth data analysis. Prior experience working effectively in a team environment and a current Top Secret clearance are also considered advantageous.
