Financial Analyst (Hybrid) | Transamerica

What You’ll Actually Do
Financial Analysis: Perform professional financial analysis, primarily based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), by extracting, compiling, consolidating, and appropriately analyzing financial data from various systems.
Data Validation: Analyze, test, and verify that compiled financial information is correct and reasonable, applying accounting and financial analysis knowledge.
Process Participation: Participate in monthly and quarterly accounting processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, and troubleshoot information flow problems.
Reporting & Communication: Update and consolidate financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis, supporting business unit and corporate reporting needs, while explaining analyses to management and other departments.
Operational Improvement: Improve procedures, update, and organize documentation of reporting and planning processes, and adhere to the company’s framework of internal controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Up to 2 years of experience with a degree; advanced computer skills, including foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, accurate, analytical, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with a customer service approach.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of a financial area such as investments, insurance products, or premium; ability to work effectively both individually and within a team.
