What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Build analyses and forecasts for large investment opportunities and strategic business decisions, presenting complex financial information to executives and non-financial personnel.
• Mitigate: Prepare and analyze quarterly risk review analyses and presentations, identifying areas of risk within the company portfolio and helping to identify solutions and make recommendations.
• Report: Assist in consolidating and analyzing financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, coordinating and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts, and reporting on actuals versus budgeted results.
• Inform: Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions, creating effective PowerPoint presentations for Board meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Support: Perform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis, take on special projects as required, and develop SQL queries for ad-hoc analyses and monthly reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, along with a fundamental and working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
• Experience: Internship to 4 years of professional experience in one of the following areas: investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or corporate finance.
• Skills: High proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling; ability to work with and analyze large data sets; excellent oral and written communication skills; and the capability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
