Financial Analyst | Emerge
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Emerge’s client, located in LaPorte, IN. The client is a growing manufacturer and premier employer in the aerospace and industrial sector. This role is integral to developing financial plans, forecasts, and thoroughly analyzing operational performance. The Financial Analyst will support the Plant Controller in managing daily accounting operations, coordinating month-end closing, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze and report on manufacturing inventory costs, investigate and explain standard manufacturing variances, and perform comprehensive manufacturing and cost analysis.
• Manage: Manage payroll and fringe benefit expenses, labor standards, administer the facility’s fixed assets, and support capital expenditure planning.
• Report: Coordinate month-end closing procedures, ensure accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, and prepare data for monthly business review presentations.
• Optimize: Conduct operational research through process mapping and cross-functional interviews to synthesize complex data, optimize existing business processes, and develop actionable business recommendations.
• Support: Assist the Controller in preparing budgets and forecasts, support corporate and business unit ad-hoc reporting requests, and collaborate on the monthly financial close process.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: At least one year of relevant experience, or a minimum of three years in business process modeling, database design, or financial analysis. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet requirements for access to export-controlled information.
• Skills: Proficiency in Windows-based software, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access; strong analytical skills to interpret complex information, conduct operational research, and investigate manufacturing variances; excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail; proven ability to develop and document systematic operational procedures.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Project management software; proven ability to develop user documentation and lead training initiatives.
