Financial Analyst | Pet Supplies Plus
The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Pet Supplies Plus, located in Livonia, MI, with work in office Monday-Wednesday and remote Thursday-Friday. Pet Supplies Plus operates over 770 stores across 44 states, offering pet supplies and services designed to make pet ownership easier. This role is central to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, providing key financial insights that guide strategic decisions and support the company’s financial health and growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Develop and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
• Planning: Support the corporate budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Partnering: Partner with business units to deliver actionable insights that improve financial performance and close operational gaps.
• Modeling: Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis to support executive decision-making.
• Presenting: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; proven track record of building cross-functional relationships and driving results.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
