2027 Summer Intern: Financial Accounting – Corporate | Spectrum

The role matters by providing direct support to the financial accounting team, contributing to the crucial process of closing the books, creating journal entries, and preparing account reconciliations. • Team: Financial Accounting team, supporting revenue, cable ops, corporate, non-cable ops, capital, and mobile teams.
• Mission: To provide support for the financial accounting process by assisting with journal entries, reviewing results, and preparing account reconciliations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Assist with the creation of accurate journal entries.
• Financial Review: Support the review of financial results.
• Reconciliations: Prepare account reconciliations for various accounts.
• Account Analysis: Conduct account analysis as needed.
• Project Support: Provide ad hoc project support to financial accounting teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A rising junior or rising senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, with an expected graduation date between May 2028 to May 2029.
• Experience: No prior professional work experience is required for this entry-level internship. Candidates must be able to work the full 11-week internship program from May 26 through August 6, 2027, and be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Skills: Strong foundational understanding of financial accounting principles demonstrated through current academic studies; ability to create and assist with journal entries; proficiency in reviewing financial results and preparing accurate account reconciliations; capacity for account analysis; and a minimum current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
