About the Job:
This internship is within DE’s transformation team, a group dedicated to improving data, process, and systems within the finance department. The team’s goal is to empower finance teams to concentrate on analysis and strategic insights rather than manual data entry and processing. The team works closely with finance teams across numerous functions to identify, develop, and implement solutions for complex financial challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
Interns will contribute to projects aimed at enhancing long-term operational efficiency across different segments. Responsibilities include:
• Researching data, systems, and tools to streamline processes.
• Collaborating with internal and external clients to improve team cohesion and operational effectiveness within business segments.
• Working on multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently.
• Contributing to data analysis efforts, including structuring projects and handling ambiguous data.
• Utilizing strong written and oral communication skills to convey findings and recommendations.
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated abilities gained through coursework in Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, and adaptability to changing environments.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects efficiently.
• Collaborative spirit and capacity for independent work.
• A data-analytic mindset.
• Proficiency in structuring projects and handling ambiguous data.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience and proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and Business Intelligence tools.
Eligibility:
• Current Junior or Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university (taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to the internship) OR graduated within 6 months of applying OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• At least 18 years of age.
• No more than one year of continuous employment in a Disney internship or program.
• Unrestricted work authorization.
