Finance Transformation Consultant Summer 2025:

This is a full-time, hybrid internship based in Springfield, IL. The salary range for this position is $56K/yr – $110K/yr.

Responsibilities:

Understanding Business Processes: Analyze and comprehend the financial and operational business processes within an organization, with a focus on internal controls and their execution.
Delivering Value-Added Reports: Create and present reports and projects that simplify complex issues and provide valuable insights.
Collaboration and Partnership: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, colleagues, and communities.
Deadline-Driven Environment: Thrive in a demanding environment that requires meeting deadlines effectively.
Travel: Be prepared to travel up to 60% or more annually when working as a full-time staff consultant.

Qualifications:

Required:

Pursuing Degree: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Forensic Accounting, Internal Audit, or Economics.
Accounting & Finance Understanding: Have a moderate understanding of accounting and finance structures as they relate to financial reporting.
Data Analytics Proficiency: Demonstrate familiarity and/or proficiency with data analytics applications like PowerBI and/or Tableau, and with programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
CPA Certification: Be pursuing or have obtained CPA certification.

Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills for interacting with senior management, C-suite client personnel, and government regulators.
Teamwork & Independence: Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability: Successfully adapt to continuously changing risk environments and manage time effectively.

Writing & Verbal Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Technical Accounting Aptitude: Have an aptitude for technical accounting and analytical tasks.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Certification Desire: Exhibit a desire to sit for and obtain CPA, or other supported certifications.
