Job Description:

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within the Engineering & Technology Finance team at Lockheed Martin. You will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks that are crucial to the success of the Engineering & Technology function. The team works with diverse funding sources and collaborates closely with engineers and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Assist with setting up and managing contracts, ensuring compliance and efficient execution.
Cost Control & Analysis: Monitor and analyze costs to identify potential savings and optimize performance.
Proposal Preparation: Provide financial expertise and support in preparing proposals for new business opportunities.
New Business Acquisition Expenditures (NBAE) Management: Manage NBAE activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing returns.
Critical Staffing Support: Contribute to staffing decisions to ensure adequate resources for projects and initiatives.
Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend identification, and forecasting.
Performance Management Budgeting: Establish and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with performance targets and strategic goals.
Workforce Planning: Analyze workforce planning drivers to optimize resource allocation and staffing levels.
Risk & Opportunity Assessment: Identify, assess, and develop mitigation plans for financial risks and opportunities.
Data Integration & Analysis: Integrate information from various financial systems and processes to gain actionable insights.
Cost Allocation: Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures.
Actionable Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate sound financial and operational decisions.
Subject Matter Expertise: Offer expertise in proposal development, basis of estimate, and negotiations.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Aptitude for facilitating results, self-starter attitude, process-oriented, and structured problem solver
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

Desired Skills:

• Experience in budgeting, estimating, workforce planning, development, and production contracts

Security Clearance:

• This position requires a government security clearance, and US citizenship is mandatory for consideration.
• Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedule:

• The position offers a 4×10 hour day schedule, allowing for 3 days off per week.
• It also includes the possibility of part-time remote work, with the specific schedule to be determined during the hiring process.

Additional Information:

• This role is a full-time position within the Missiles and Fire Control business unit at Lockheed Martin.
