This is a summer internship at Delta Air Lines, located in Atlanta, GA. This role offers an opportunity for rising second-year MBA students to contribute to Delta’s financial strategy by engaging in significant, project-based work focused on revenue improvements and cost savings, providing valuable insight into the complex airline industry.

• Mission: To create valuable contributions through revenue improvements and cost savings projects, providing relevant finance experience and insight into the multifaceted airline industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Lead or support project-based initiatives within the Finance Division, focusing on revenue improvements and cost savings.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis for either corporate finance departments (e.g., Capital Planning, Investor Relations) or divisional finance departments (e.g., Marketing, Technical Operations).
• Strategic Engagement: Attend speaking events with company executives to gain insight into high-level company strategy and build exposure to senior leadership.
• Professional Development: Participate in numerous opportunities to learn about functional areas within finance and other parts of the organization.
• Industry Contribution: Create valuable contributions that directly impact Delta’s operations and financial performance within the airline industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current MBA student who will have completed the first year of an MBA Program by Summer 2027, with a concentration in Finance, Economics, Strategy, Supply Chain, or another analytical field. Planned MBA program graduation date by Summer 2028.
• Experience: At least three years (36 months) of post-undergraduate, full-time work or relevant military experience prior to enrolling in business school, with a consistent track record of excellence.
• Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated curiosity about the airline industry; ability to excel in a matrix-team environment; analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Ability to digest large amounts of data and information to succinctly explain findings that support decision-making, and a desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem solving and conflict resolution.
