The Finance Manager will partner closely with executive leadership and international business units, playing a crucial part in financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, business planning, investment analysis, and corporate finance initiatives. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Review monthly financial reporting from domestic and international subsidiaries for accuracy and consistency, prepare executive-level summaries of performance, and assist with consolidated financial statements and consolidation entries while ensuring US GAAP and supporting IFRS compliance.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range business plans, develop financial models for strategic initiatives, and analyze historical and projected cash flows for liquidity planning.
• Performance Analysis & Justification: Analyze and validate explanations for financial performance variations, prepare bridge analyses, and perform profitability, investment justification, and sensitivity analyses for business case development.
• Corporate Finance & Strategic Support: Participate in financial due diligence for acquisitions, assist with new deal structuring, analyze financing alternatives, and partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and special projects.
• Accounting Advisory & Controls: Advise subsidiary finance teams on appropriate accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions, ensuring adherence to strong internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business with an Accounting concentration, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in accounting principles and finance operations.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements, coupled with the ability to create and deliver executive presentations for senior leadership.
• Skills: Strong understanding of US GAAP and a working knowledge of IAS/IFRS, advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling and complex analysis, a solid grasp of consolidation methodologies and elimination entries, and the ability to analyze manufacturing standard costs, labor costs, overhead allocations, and production variances.
• Bonus: An MBA or CPA certification is strongly preferred, alongside experience in financial due diligence, within the manufacturing industry, supporting corporate finance initiatives, or exposure to Oracle Financial Management, Hyperion, or similar consolidation platforms.
