Job Title: Finance Internship Program (with specific focus on Tax Intern role)

About the Finance Internship Program:
This is a 12-week, early career program meticulously designed to immerse associates in Carrier’s various segments and finance functions. Interns will gain invaluable experience at a New York Stock Exchange traded company, known for its market-leading products and services utilized by customers worldwide.

About This Role (Tax Intern):
The Tax Intern will play a crucial role by assisting with:
- Preparing federal proforma and state and local income/franchise tax returns.
- Computing estimated tax payments.
- Assisting in the computation of the quarterly tax provision.
Key Responsibilities (General Interns):
Interns may be strategically placed in any of Carrier’s diverse business segments, which include:
- WHQ (World Headquarters)
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- Refrigeration
Roles and responsibilities are dynamically defined by the specific Finance team the Intern will support. These Finance teams may encompass:
- Controllership & Accounting
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Operations / Factory Finance
- Other specialized Finance areas
The Finance Internship Program is an intense learning opportunity that mandates active participation in presentations, trainings, and events.
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA.
- Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in US without sponsorship.
- To be eligible for the program, you must plan to graduate after August 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset.
- Takes initiative.
- Strong time management, organization, and ability to multi-task.
- Efficient PC skills, particularly in Excel & PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership roles in extracurricular organizations.
